What’s My Approach to Health and Fitness?

I believe in keeping health and fitness simple, sustainable, and enjoyable. It’s not about chasing perfection or following the latest fads—it’s about creating habits that fit into your life and make you feel physically and mentally sound.

For me, it starts with movement. I don’t force myself into workouts, which I hate. Instead, I focus on activities I genuinely enjoy: a morning walk, a yoga session, or dancing around my living room. The key is to stay active in a fun way, not like a chore.

Next, I prioritize balance in my diet. I don’t believe in cutting out entire food groups or labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” Instead, I aim for a mix of nutritious whole foods—like fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains—while leaving room for the occasional treat. Life’s too short to skip dessert.

I also make rest and recovery a big part of my routine. Sleep is non-negotiable for me—I aim for 7-8 hours a night—and I listen to my body when it needs a break. Overtraining or pushing too hard just leads to burnout, which is the opposite of what health and fitness should be about.

Finally, I think the mindset is everything. Health and fitness aren’t just about how you look but about how you feel. I focus on progress, not perfection, and celebrate small wins. Whether lifting a heavier weight, running a little farther, or feeling more energized, every step forward counts.

My approach is ultimately about consistency, kindness, and enjoyment. It’s not a sprint; it’s a lifelong journey. And the best part? You get to define what that journey looks like for you.
